Column Effective Length Factor in Khorjini Frames
This paper discusses the effective length factor of columns in Khorjini frames. In order to find this factor, a proper approximated method is proposed. In addition, accurate analysis is performed and the results are compared with those from the proposed technique. The comparison demonstrates the accuracy of presented FORMULATIONS. The proposed method is similar to Julian and Lawrence's, which i...

متن کاملRadiative Corrections for Pion Polarizability Experiments
We use the semi-analytical program RCFORGV to evaluate radiative corrections to one-photon radiative emission in the high-energy scattering of pions in the Coulomb field of a nucleus with atomic number Z. It is shown that radiative corrections can simulate a pion polarizability effect. The average effect is α π = −β π = (0.20±0.05)×10cm, for pion energies 40-600 GeV. We also study the range of ...
متن کاملZero-inflated negative binomial modeling, efficiency for analysis of length of maternity hospitalization
Background: Mothers’ delivery is one of the most common hospitalization factors throughout the world and it’s modeling can explain distribution and effective factors on rising and decreasing of it. The objective of the present study was a suitable modeling for mother hospitalization time and comparing it with different models. Materials & Methods: Present study is an observational and cross-s...
متن کاملAccurate Emulators for Large - Scale Computer Experiments
Large-scale computer experiments are becoming increasingly important in science. A multi-step procedure is introduced to statisticians for modeling such experiments, which builds an accurate interpolator in multiple steps. In practice, the procedure shows substantial improvements in overall accuracy, but its theoretical properties are not well established. We introduce the terms nominal and num...
